When Jenna and Brian shared that they were welcoming their rainbow baby, Ava Grace, into the world, I knew that we had to make this photography session commemorative of their experience in a beautiful way. This rainbow inspired newborn session hosts a variety of beautiful colors, textures, and sweet new baby poses using my custom crafted sets and props.
For anyone who doesn't know: A rainbow baby is a birth after any infant loss from miscarriage to an infant death. Why is it called a "rainbow baby?" In life, when a storm is ending and a rainbow appears, it gives us hope that the worst is over and that sunshine is on the way. Isn't that beautiful?
Perfect tiny baby feet.
I crafted this little floral tieback to match the rainbow flowered set, and it matched perfectly! Look at that sweet squishy face! :D
Adding in some springtime flair with this pastel floral backdrop- and who doesn't love a baby in a bucket?
This rainbow set was a first for me, and how cute! The sky is a hand painted canvas drop available in the Canfield studio.
I wanted to finish off the session with some more neutral and timeless shots. I absolute adore the warm softness of these tones. Oh so pretty!
This is another hand crafted tieback made from the same materials used for the set and adding a little pearl for a bit of baby glam. It was perfect!
This shot below is extra special- we added in mom's teddy bear! Absolutely melts my heart!
And a couple shots with mom and dad! Congratulations again you two!
Ava knows the best is yet to come! I love caching those split second smiles!
