Mill Creek Park - Engagement Photos

Mike and I have known eachother since 5th grade- so when he introduced me to his fiance Kassie and they asked me to be their wedding photographer, of course I was over the moon excited!

While we knew we were planning on photos in Mill Creek park and a very natural setting, we also were planning on having this session in early April. Unfortunately, we did experience a little bit of a delay thanks to COVID-19, but not enough to ruin our fun!

After meeting Kassie, I was so excited for them both! It is so clear that she has the kindest and most caring heart, and they are absolutey perfect for each other!

Coming out of weeks in quarantine, this was a much needed escape for all of us! We definitely had a lot of fun shooting, and feeling a little more "normal" right now!

I said over and over, I think when our session was delayed, Kassie and Mike spent some of their quarantine time practicing for these- they were naturals! (Or maybe they are just naturally beautiful together!) Either way, I didn't have to give them much direction, they seemed to just fall into gorgeous poses on their own, which made my job way too easy!

My heart smiles seeing the way these two laugh together! I get so giddy for their wedding day! I know their wedding photography will be just as beautiful!

This location gave us gorgeous backlighting once sunset drew nearer.

These images just show the most beautiful scenery in the park! I love the natural earthy tones!

We went on a little adventure down by the water to snap a few shots. Hearing about Kassie's horror story of her senior pictures led to a lot of jokes, laughs, and maybe a little nervousness! (Kassie climbed out on a tree limb over water and fell in during her senior photoshoot! I will admit, I was crossing my fingers that she was not going to repeat that scenario. We did have an agreement that if it happened, they were going all in and we would finish with a water session).

I adore this shot! The scenery, the lighting, and the sensuality- gorgeous!

I don't know what Mike was saying to Kassie, but I love her reaction!

What gorgeous, warm sunset photos we were able to get here! I love being able to miss in a variety of lighting and this warm color.

I can't wait to see what these two plan over the coming months! Stay tuned for the wedding this November!
