Newborn Photography - Adelyn Kate - Canfield, OH

Ten little fingers and ten little toes were photographed at the photography studio in Canfield, OH. Newborn photography is so special- capturing those little details that will be forever cherished.

Baby girl Adelyn Kate (and oh my goodness, don't you just LOVE the name?!) looks sweet as can be in these soft pink and floral themed sets.

When I photograph newborns, I love incorporating different textures. Below, you can see how I've used the same soft blush pink for the wrap and contrasted it with a softly knitted bonnet. Adelyn was placed in a basket with soft gray fur.

I just love this floral and burlap headband! I saw this at a local boutique and couldn't help but add it to my collection! (Did you know you never have to supply any props and clothing for newborn or maternity session? There is already a variety of items in the studio for use, and of course it's always growing!)

Adelyn looks like a life size baby doll. The way the pinks and purples work together here is amazing!

I wanted to also provide something a lot different in this session as well. Most of the time, newborns are photographed in soft, even lighting, with light, bright, and soft editing styles. This image breaks those rules by using a heavy richness on the background, and a highly contrasted look. Despite the richness of the background, the flowers and baby Adelyn still provide that brightness for a one of a kind newborn image. What do you think of this look?

We brought in Adelyn's two big protectors for a sibling shot. While it can be quite a challenge to work with young children for any shoot, it can prove to be even more challenging with a newborn session, where you have to first and foremost keep safety of the baby in mind.
